Murray L. Harber

Murray L. Harber is the Executive Director of the Mississippi Business Group on Health, a coalition of more than 70 Mississippi employers that seek continuous improvement in the quality and cost effectiveness of health and health care through shared solutions. Murray also consults with companies that provide innovative solutions to employers which provide value. He is a national speaker for several large pharmaceuticals and business organizations on value-based benefit design, employee health management, and maximizing human performance in athletics. Murray has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education majoring in Human Performance and Sports Studies from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Murray’s began his career serving as a strength and speed coach before moving into employer-based health center management. He has developed award winning employer health and wellness programs including Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company (SFBLI), the University of Minnesota, Hennepin County, MN, Park Nicollet Health Services, and UAW Ford Motor Company. He is a columnist for the Mississippi Business Journal, HR Professionals Magazine, and other publications.
