Creating The Wise Firm Way video was a group effort. Literally, our entire firm had the opportunity to speak into its creation—and one of the greatest nuggets of information came from Tracy Cunningham, a director on our Firm FIRST team who has been with the firm since she was 18 years old, more than 30 years.
There was an original line that said something about our core values. Tracy so perfectly articulated that they’re not just our core values today, they’re our founding core values. For five decades the foundation of service has been the bedrock of HORNE. Since the start we’ve valued people and upheld the highest standard of integrity, virtues you’d expect to see when a firm is built on biblical principles. We’ve been entrepreneurial since the beginning (we now call it forward thinking)—but it’s always been a part of who we are.
Over the years, we have adopted and will continue to adapt to new ways of thinking. We have some newer beliefs about how we do business, how we serve our clients, and how we grow our people. Yet, we are still that firm that honors our founding values. The Wise Firm Way definitely is the path we are taking to our future, but it’s important to us that we also honor the heritage left to us by our founders.
