Christmas Will Soon Be Gone

The stockings are hanging from the mantle, the lights are twinkling in the tree, and the presents are waiting to be opened.

It is that time again — Christmas. However, I have been looking past it. I am anxious about the new year and the transformation taking place.  We will be offering clients new services that will help them be more anticipatory, help them mitigate risks and maintain integrity.

The business environment is changing and many companies are struggling to keep up. Integrity will be key, and we will be able to provide our clients a map to navigate the future to ensure sustainability and profitability.

This future is bright and exciting. But first, I must slow down to enjoy Christmas because it will soon be over. The stockings will be filled on Christmas Eve and emptied just a few hours later. The lights will be unplugged and put away until next year. The presents will be unwrapped, and the anticipation will be gone.

In this world of fast-paced change, we must slow down and enjoy each moment. If you pick up your phone, take a picture or video to capture the memories rather than checking Facebook. If you play a game, play Monopoly with your friends and family rather than killing strangers in fifteen-minute rounds of Fortnight. Finally, count your blessings and share them with others.

I look forward to starting new conversations and sharing fresh perspectives on fighting fraud in the new year. Happy Holidays!
