5 Wishes for Santa

Written by Jeffrey N. Aucoin | December 16, 2015

Dear Santa,

This Saturday when we visited you, my daughter asked you to help all the homeless people find homes this winter. At hearing this, I thought, “What a huge request!” and my heart was overwhelmed with joy and sadness. Joy because my daughter thought of others before herself and sadness because her Christmas wish may never be granted. That was a lot to ask of you!

I hope you will agree that I have been a good boy this year, relatively speaking. You know that I am not perfect, but I try to be the best person I can be. I always work hard to be a loving husband, patient father, and caring friend. I try to put others’ needs before my own. I strive to serve my clients to add value to their bottom line. I hope that I am seen as a servant leader.

Christmas is a time of giving and sharing. I hope that I can give and share my knowledge and experience to help business owners and executives mitigate fraud losses. At the same time, Christmas is a time of wishing and hoping. I hope that you have seen my efforts and will reward me with these few Christmas wishes:

  1. Help us recognize fraud as a risk to our companies.
  2. Help us dedicate time and resources to the fight against fraud.
  3. Help us see the red flags of fraud and have the strength to ask the tough questions.
  4. If for some reason we still can’t find the fraud, help fraudsters recognize their actions and confess to their misdeeds.
  5. Finally, please grant my daughter’s wish to help all the homeless people find homes this winter.

Christmas is about miracles, and I hope that you will fulfill all of these wishes on Christmas day. However, I am not sure how you will leave these things in a stocking or under a tree. Sometimes, you probably need help, and help can be found in each and every one of us. We have the ability to do so much, but we have to take action to make change. I promise to do my part to help you fulfill these wishes this Christmas.

Peace, Love and Happiness,

Jeff

P.S.  I hope that you and your reindeer have safe travels this Christmas Eve
