If you were an eligible clinician (EC) that submitted 2017 performance data for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) through the Quality Payment Program (QPP) website, you can review your final performance feedback, including your final score and payment adjustment information.
By reviewing your final feedback, ECs will know where they stand against the MIPS objectives:
ECs should use this feedback to anticipate reimbursement changes in payment year 2019 and to prepare for performance year (PY) 2018, which began on January 1. To assist ECs in preparation, CMS has provided an online measures tool for ECs to see all measures and reporting requirements for PY 2018.
Still trying to decide if you are an EC required to comply with MIPS?
An EC’s participation status may change each year due to changing requirements. You can see changes to the QPP and check your participation status for performance years 2017 and 2018.
MIPS Alternative Payment Models
If you participated in a MIPS Alternative Payment Model (APM) in 2017, specifically in a Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) or Next Generation ACO, your final feedback is now available via the QPP website.
This feedback, under the MIPS APM Scoring Standard, is accessible to the APM entity and will be based on the APM Entity score which is applicable to all of the MIPS ECs within the APM Entity group. This feedback and score do NOT have an impact on the MSSP or Next Generation ACOs’ quality assessment.
