Why I’m Choosing to Build the Wise Firm

Written by HORNE | June 18, 2015

>If there’s something you should know about us at HORNE, it’s that we are serious about building the Wise Firm. Recently, I had the opportunity to hear some of our team members share their personal reasons for building the Wise Firm. It all started as part of a video project—we asked various team members to finish this sentence: I am choosing to build the Wise Firm because:_________________.

(I highly recommend you watch the video below.)

After hearing such meaningful and personal reasons, we decided to ask even more team members why they’re choosing to build the Wise Firm. Here are some of their responses:

I am choosing to build the Wise Firm because:

  • I have a sense of belonging and I believe I can serve here.
  • I think that having a Wise Firm helps us to better serve our customers and each other.
  • I want to be part of something that can benefit others as well as myself.
  • I want to reach my full potential.
  • It’s something bigger than myself.
  • It’s fun!
  • It is a worthwhile investment— for me, my family, and all of my colleagues.
  • It will help me be a better individual, co-worker, spouse, and mother. I can feel safe and comfortable to share my best self.
  • I believe in the mission and vision of the firm and I know that I can make a difference.
  • I want to continue to be a part of the positive energy rising to the top and be a part of the service we are giving to the clients.
  • I believe in a firm dedicated to the excellence in both client and employee relationships with a mutual respect in every encounter.
  • To enjoy the journey from good to great, individually and together.
  • I can help others reach their full potential while successfully reaching mine.
  • I crave a successful, positive, professional future.
  • Together we will make a difference.
  • I believe in the Wise Firm principles and I am motivated to make a difference in the organization and lives of people I come in contact.
  • If I am not a part of a building it, I am a part of tearing it down.
  • I want to shape the positive energy generated by the work I am doing for my clients.
  • It provides me with more time and flexibility for my family.
  • It provides me a path to success in my career.
  • To empower the firm and the people to reach their full potential.
  • I am passionate about what I do and how I can help us reach our goals.
  • I need to be a part of a vision larger than just my job description.
  • What got us here won’t make us the firm of the future.
  • I want to be proud of the difference I make.
  • I want to be part of a culture that empowers us to make better business decisions.
  • It empowers people to reach their full potential.

If I learned anything through all these responses, it’s that building the Wise Firm is personal. And we can only build it if we do it together. We’re building something special here, and I’m so glad to be a part of it.
